WTSTechnical recruiting has its own unique set of problems caused by looking for people who have odd skills with strange-sounding names! IT recruiters have to deal with jobs that are not inherently easy to understand. WTS technical recruiting curriculum was designed to help IT recruiters work with specific IT jobs and IT professionals. Upon completion of the training, the recruiter will be able to:

  • Use the Internet effectively by knowing where and how to post jobs and search for resumes;
  • Analyze a job requisition;
  • Evaluate a technical resume;
  • Conduct phone interviews and screens, including cold calls;
  • Differentiate between a technical screen and a technical interview;
  • Understand and prepare questions for a technical screen;
  • Conduct a technical screen to qualify a candidate;
  • Interview candidates based upon commonly used methodologies;
  • Win both the candidate and the job requestor/hiring manager's confidence;
  • Evaluate Internet recruiting activity;
  • Build an Internet recruiting plan and revise it;
  • Successfully negotiate with potential technical people by knowing what's important to them
